For a singer, every recording has a distinct beauty and significance on the artist’s life. If the tune’s message is something that resonates with him, definitely, he won’t forget it. But, what if the song he’s recording involves an important connection with his life? For sure, that gives him a treasure. There are several songs of Sara Evans we’ve already featured here on Country Thang Daily but this record of her we’ll be tackling in this article is somewhat different. It’s for that particular reason that the song involves her loved ones – her family members – in it. The song is called “You’ll Always Be My Baby” which became a Top 20 country hit for her.

About the Song

A woman who contemplates on the great love that both her biological and Heavenly fathers had for her is what “You’ll Always Be My Baby” is all about. Such a lucky woman, isn’t it? But, there is more to it that its feel-good vibe as far as Evans is concerned. The song which she co-wrote with songwriters Tony Martin and Tom Shapiro features her family members. The Born to Flysinger wishes to connect the song with the way she wants to raise her son. Hence, at the latter part of the music video, Evans is seen with her former husband Craig Schelske and their son. They’re obviously a picture of a happy family. The clip was directed by Kristin Barlowe.

Moreover, Evans’ father, Jack Evans, was also part of the song providing backing vocals. On the other hand, the singer of A Little Bit Stronger released a gift book that features the lyrics of “You’ll Always Be My Baby.” Also, it shows photos of the singer alongside her three children and mother. Released in August 2006, the song served as the fourth and final single on Evans’ album Real Fine Place. It again appeared as a track on the singer’s 2007 album Greatest Hits. “You’ll Always Be My Baby” became a Top 20 hit on the country music chart.
