Reba McEntire: “Oh Happy Day”
Oh happy day
Oh when my Jesus washed
Oh my Jesus washed
Oh my Jesus washed
He washed my sins away
“Oh Happy Day” is one of Reba’s favorite classic hymns. Her album Sing It Now: Songs of Faith & Hope features this song along with her new praise songs “God and My Girlfriends,” “Back To God,” and “Angels Singin’.”
We all know that Reba comes from a musically talented family. Two of her siblings pursued their music career, one of which is a Gospel singer. Meanwhile, Reba is a well-known country singer.
Praises and worship were always near Reba’s heart. She lives a life where God is the center of it. Thus, God serves as her inspiration while singing praise songs.
This song is about rejoicing to our Lord. It shows how he washed our sins away. Honestly, we are all sinners, but God accepts us for who we are. Whatever we do, God’s eyes are always watching us. He loves us unconditionally. That’s why He gave up his own life to save us.
We don’t have to worry about the things we are facing right now because as you devote yourself to God, He will never leave you. Praying to God is the best weapon you will have while facing all the struggles you encounter in your daily life.
