Rascal Flatts Singer Gary Levox’ Boundless Faith amidst Trouble 1

Gary LeVox, lead singer for award-winning country band Rascal Flatts, and his brother were the victims of a fire that quickly spread through their tour bus on January 6, Saturday. They were on their way to Lousiana for a hunting trip when the bus caught on fire while they were on board.

Levox shared the news along with a video on Instagram. The video showed smoke coming from the bus and letting fans know that he and his brother escaped without injury. Gary expressed thanks to God for watching over them. He was sure that the aftermath could have been different, especially considering they had ammunition on the bus.

The Aftermath

In the video, LeVox explained the situation as he positioned at the bus door recording the smoke slowly filling the bus. He also told someone off camera that they are located in the middle of the Homochitto National Forest in Mississippi. Gary explains, “This is our Louisiana trip. Rifle Point and our bus is on fire.” The reference to Rifle Point points out that their ultimate destination was the Rifle Point Plantation, a well-known Louisiana destination for bow hunters.  He posted,

“My bus caught on fire this mornin on my way to a hunting trip. My brother Kevin and I got out. It happened so quick and could have been a different story if the ammunition would have caught fire. What a way to start 2018. Thank you lord for your covering this mornin!”

Later, he shared a photo of his hunting stuff on the ground outside the bus. The kit is pulled to the side of the road but does not look broken from the outside. Concluding that, it looked as if the fire was confined to the inside.

“Not where I was wanting to watch the sunrise,” he captioned.

Surely one of the first tour bus fire for 2018. Nevertheless, it is one of many that have occurred to country artists in the last few years. Some of them who experienced the same fate were Chris Lane, Eli Young Band, Lee Brice, Randy Houser, Jerrod Niemann, Toby Keith, Canaan Smith and Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott. However, luckily, all have fled unhurt.

Fortunately, everyone was able to depart the vehicle safe and sound, before smoke filled the small borders of the bus. Gary Levox and his brother sure had a share of God’s grace that day!
