GOOD MORNIN’ TO Y’ALL!
THE FIRST SIP…
“LAND (many consider and would agree to) IS LIFE!”
How many farmers have either lost or need their own land? And how many more?
From here to Asia, many—not just a few—have LOST not just land or limb but LIFE!
Why would many of us (if put in the same situation) not go to such extent? Many a-man have “grabbed” a man’s land. “LAND (many consider and would agree to) IS LIFE!”
In disgust, even one great Tribes Man had said:
“The Land is not ours to keep for we do not own the land—it is LAND who OWNS us. When we die and are laid TO REST, our flesh will just go back to where it came from—to the Soil and be just fattener and fertilizer for the Earth!”
“Rain on the scarecrow blood on the plow
Rain on the scarecrow blood on the plow…”
LAND IS LIFE…
Not only as a means of livelihood is having one’s own land. Not only would that land be for the produce or livestock. But more importantly, one’s very own land gives life for it gives man DIGNITY, SELF RESPECT, and PRIDE.
“Scarecrow on a wooden cross blackbird in the barn
Four hundred empty acres that used to be my farm
I grew up like my daddy did my grandpa cleared this land
When I was five I walked the fence while grandpa held my hand
Rain on the scarecrow blood on the plow
This land fed a nation this land made me proud
And son I’m just sorry there’s no legacy for you now
Rain on the scarecrow blood on the plow
Rain on the scarecrow blood on the plow…”
There’ll be blood on the scarecrow blood on the plow
Blood on the scarecrow blood on the plow…”
And up until NOW, the Government—both theirs and ours—don’t seem to be doin’ nuthin’ about it! Apparently, they have priorities totally opposite from ours. Seemingly, it is either we don’t share the same frequency or wavelength; or, they’re just living in a totally different planet!
“The crops we grew last summer weren’t enough to pay the loans
Couldn’t buy the seed to plant this spring and the farmers’ bank foreclosed
Called my old friend schepman up to auction off the land
He said John its just my job and I hope you understand
Hey calling it your job ol hoss sure don’t make it right
But if you want me to I’ll say a prayer for your soul tonight
And grandmas on the front porch swing with a
Bible in her hand Sometimes I hear her singing take me to the promised land
When you take away a mans dignity he cant work his fields and cows
There’ll be blood on the scarecrow blood on the plow
Blood on the scarecrow blood on the plow…”
THE LAST DROP…
“…KEEPING THIS COUNTRY STRONG!”
The fact of the matter is, them farmers (good folks and may God Bless all of ‘em) do not need ANY MORE of them Loans!
What they truly need is the Government’s FULL SUPPORT. May it be through subsidies or Financial Aids or whatever would GENUINELY help our DEAR FARMERS rise up and keep on doin’ what they do best: KEEPING THIS COUNTRY STRONG!
You have just been “..Drinkin’ From A Dixie…”
May y’all be Safe and Well and…
“MAY THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY BLESS US ALL AND SET US FREE!”
