The Dumplin’ Soundtrack
It’s obvious that the queen of country music has put her heart and soul into the making of the Dumplin’ soundtrack. She has delivered once again in this beautifully remastered version of her hit song “Jolene.” In order to match the theme of the movie, Dolly offers us a subdued version of the once-upbeat song. Yet, it does not strip away the tenderness and the ache that the song possesses.
She dubbed the song as ‘the string version’ which is quite appropriate as it does not contain the usual backing and percussion instruments from the original score.

The Dumplin’ soundtrack will be available on the 30th of November 2018. The album features guest performances by Elle King, Alison Krauss, and Miranda Lambert. Likewise, the list includes Sia, Mavis Staples, and Rhonda Vincent, among others who have not been announced.
One of the leading singles of the album, “Here I Am,” has hit number 37 in the US Hot Country Songs on Billboard upon its release. This song features the Australian powerhouse Sia. Further, “Girl in the Movies” was nominated in the Hollywood Music in Media Awards.
Dumplin’ is the newest comedy movie to hit the streaming platform Netflix. It tells a story about how a young girl would revolutionize the world of pageants in their small Texan town. The protagonist is a major fan of Dolly Parton. That is why Jennifer Aniston, one of the stars of the show, on-boarded the country legend and offered her to do the soundtrack. Also, director Anne Fletcher will direct the movie.
Apart from Jennifer Aniston, the cast consists of Danielle MacDonald, Odeya Rush, Harold Perrineau, Dove Cameron, Ginger Mink, and Bex Taylor-Klaus. Kristin Hahn will do the script.
