AFTER THE GOLDRUSH: The Trio Parton, Harris and Ronstadt

“And I brought you into a plentiful land to enjoy its fruits and its good things. But when you came in, you defiled my land and made my heritage an abomination.”

 GOOD MORNIN’, Y’ALL!

“Some of us simply have such a penchant for destroying things.”

What a great day for living and Life it truly is. And we have got this beautiful world that we live in.

But, ain’t it sad that some of us just use and abuse God’s Creation mindlessly? That, for the price of Progress, we shamelessly denude our forest and desecrate our natural resources? Since when and ‘til when would we be doing so?

I don’t know…

Happy to have them fond memories of our childhood to keep. But so sad it is that all that is left for our children and grandchildren are stories of them days.

From the very beginning—as many verses in the Bible have shown—we have been commanded by God to be Good Stewards of all of His Creation. And what do we do? Yep, screw things up. That’s right. Some of us simply have such a penchant for destroying things.

I don’t know…

“Collateral Damage? Sacrificing “just a little bit” for the benefit of many?”

Collateral Damage? Sacrificing “just a little bit” for the benefit of many? Yeah, the song of our existence that ditty that goes, “…God is good, and people are crazy…”

I really don’t know.

Another great ode to our destruction and rape of Mother Earth is the song After the Goldrush. This song was originally written and sung by Neil Young. And while preparing for this article, I happened to stumble across a wonderful version by 3 Great Women of Country. None other than Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, and Linda Ronstadt!

Uhuh, I too was pleasantly surprised when I first saw it. But amazed was I when I heard them do their version of this Neil Young classic. Like, “WOW!” you know.

So for your viewing and listening pleasure and help encourage us all to keep on being Good Stewards of God’s Creation, here it is…

This has been Beautiful Is Our God!

May y’all be Safe and Well and,

“MAY THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY BLESS US ALL AND SET US FREE!”
