What Made the Track a Winner?

For years, we’ve heard and seen drinking songs topped the charts. Among those that have become classics are Tennessee Whiskey,” “Whiskey Lullaby,” and ”I Love this Bar.”

But perhaps, it’s time to put one that addresses the tragic consequences of alcoholism. While it may look good on screen and commercials, there’s no denying that simple occasional drinking can easily lead to addiction. We don’t need to look further than our neighborhood for proofs.

From its debut in Nashville, “Ain’t No Whiskey Worth That” gets a speedy distribution in Country radio stations. Currently, it’s at #26 as per “Christian Music Weekly Country Chart.” In just a few days, this Gunnell original has shown potential to be the first “drinking-song” to match up with its binge-drinking counterparts.

Who is Will Gunnell?

Musically talented, but prefers to work independently.  That’s just Will Gunnell. To date, he has written more than 50 songs cut and released by various artists from Country, Christian, and Rock genres. Besides songwriting, Will Gunnell is also a producer and a recording engineer.
His recent hit, “Ain’t No Whiskey Worth That” is a collaboration with two worship teams from VA called “The Country Side.”

Aside from today’s feature, Gunnel has another song called “Live Simply” which recently reached #35 on CMW and is quickly spreading online.
