“I cannot believe this. I really can’t. Thank you so much. I love country music. It is my entire life. I dedicate everything I have to it and for y’all to care so much about what I’m doing, I will never, ever take it for granted.”

These are the words that the shocked Miranda Lambert exclaimed as she received her award for Female Vocalist of the Year.

Beating other equally talented nominees namely, Reba McEntire, Carrie UnderwoodKelsea Ballerin, and Maren Morris, Lambert outshone them all. Adding another trophy to her collection, she has now a total of nine Female Vocalist of the Year awards. Meanwhile, advancing one notch higher to her fierce competitor, Reba McEntire,  has had just a total of seven of the said award.

Miranda ended her speech saying, “Thank you so, so much. Praise Jesus, thank Y’all.”

Lambert Makes History as the First Artist with the Most Awards

Prior to this year, Miranda Lambert has been crowned the ACM Female Vocalist of the Year for eight consecutive years from 2010 to 2017. Before winning in those years, she has already been nominated for the same award from 2007 to 2009.

Aside from the Female Vocalist of the Year award, which is one of the four major ACM Awards, Lambert also bagged the most ACMs ever with an amazing number of 31 victories, breaking her tie with the duo, Brooks & Dunn.

Furthermore, earlier in the night, Lambert also won the “Song of the Year” for her single, “Tin Man.”

What’s Next for Miranda?

This Grammy-winner will release “Keeper of the Flame” on country radio today, April 16. This is her fourth radio single off her chart-topping, platinum-certified, double album The Weight of These Wings.  Also, she will be touring with Little Big Town come this July.

Indeed, the ACM has gone through a lot of pure talents. With so much to offer, these country artists are undeniably and fiercely talented. No matter who the winner/s is/are, it is certain and no doubt that everyone deserves the awards.
