Taking some time off from recording good music and performing in front of numerous fans, Miranda Lambert turns her attention to surprise a very special individual situated in Canyon, Texas.

Living in Canyon, Texas is a lovely 9-year-old girl named Tatum Schulte, who happens to be a fan of the Grammy-winning country singer. At a very tender age, Tatum was unfortunately stricken with osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer. Since 2015, osteosarcoma has been found to be more prevalent in children. The brave young lass battling cancer is currently living with her parents.

Her family was able to raise funds for her treatment through online funding that began right after her diagnosis. Tatum’s parents created a page on social media exclusively for her to keep her 25,000 supporters updated on the progress of her health and her journey.

Inevitably, news of Tatum’s tough battle made its way to her idol. Lambert, on the other hand, wasted not a second longer and recorded a video message for her beloved young fan. She was obviously moved by the strong fighting spirit exhibited by the Tatum that all Miranda wanted to do was to at least put a smile on her fan’s face in a simple and sincere way.

In the short video, Miranda told the brave lass,

I heard you’re a big fan and that you’re a Texas girl. I just wanted to tell you hello and that my thoughts and prayers are with you, and that you’re tough and brave just like Texas girls should be, and I’m sending you all the hugs and kisses in the world.”

It was a quick one but it was more than enough to cheer up a girl who is trying her best to overcome a huge obstacle in her life.  According to Tatum’s parents, the video did bring a smile to her face. They added their daughter has more good days than bad—a sign that brought them hope that she will be able to overcome her sickness in time.

Unfortunately, cancer can be such a backstabber, as Tatum’s health suddenly declined earlier this month. Our young fighter had to undergo surgery to have a bone spur removed. The immediate operation also caused Tatum to fall ill and undergo more excruciating pain.

Tatum is currently confined in their home while receiving hospice care. For those who want to send help, discover how by clicking on this link.
