Miranda Lambert made history in the Academy of Country Music Awards. She won 8 times as Female Vocalist of the Year. In addition, she received 25 awards in different categories since 2007. During the 52nd ACM Annual Award Show Lambert won Female Vocalist of the Year, as she competes with other successful country musicians such as Carrie Underwood and Kacey Musgraves. It was Lambert’s 8th time to win the ACM Award show for Female Vocalist of the Year. Do you think she’ll be this year’s winner again?

Miranda Lambert’s Nomination

This year’s ACM Annual Awards Show Lambert has been nominated in three categories: Female Vocalist of the Year, Song of the Year (Tin Man) and Video of the Year (We Should be Friends).

Lambert’s entry for Song of the Year is “Tin Man.” The song was released spring last year and she performed it on the 52nd ACM Annual Awards show. Her song peaked at No. 15 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs.  Another category that Lambert is nominated was Video of the Year (We Should be Friends). In addition, her song peaked at No. 25 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs.

Miranda Lambert Vs. Reba McEntire

This year Miranda Lambert is competing with Reba McEntire, a seven-time winner of the Academy of Country Music Awards for Female Vocalist of the Year. McEntire won from 1985 to 1988, followed by 1991-1992 and finally in 1995. Her record was broken in 2017 when Lambert won her 8th award. Do you think Reba McEntire can claim her title again as this year’s Female Vocalist of the Year? Or will it still be Miranda Lambert?

Watch the 53rd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards show this Sunday, April 15th at 8 pm. Live at the Grand Garden Arena, MGM Grand Hotel Las Vegas and hosted Reba McEntire.
