Nothing Breaks Like a Heart

Miley Cyrus has teamed up with Mark Ronson, a talented British producer/DJ. He produced tracks for stars like Adele, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, among others. He also produced the massive hit “Shallow.” This is a single from the hit movie “A Star is Born.” Now, Ronson fires up a country-infused pop song for Cyrus and her amazing vibrato with “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart.”

The song calls back to old country roots. The uniquely country guitar licks is an echo to the traditional arrangements of country music. Ronson mixed it skillfully with the usual elements of a good pop hit. This song has layers of sounds that are amazing.

Come listen to it here!

The song debuted at number 67 on the Billboard Hot 100. It is Cyrus’ 28th and Ronson’s third entry on the chart. “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart” is part of Ronson’s fifth studio album entitled “Late Night Feelings.” It will be released sometime in 2019.

It’s Saturday Night!

Cyrus and Ronson team up again for a gravity-defying live performance of two of their songs in the hit late-night show Saturday Night Live. They performed this and their other song together, a laid-back, stripped version of John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s “War is Over!” The duo certainly brings a healthy dose of country twang and holiday cheer on the SNL stage.

Watch the performance here!

Comedian Pete Davidson had the opportunity to introduce Cyrus and Ronson for their second act. Sean Ono Lennon, the son of Yoko Ono and John Lennon, joined them on stage for the performance of the 1971 Christmas single. He provided back up vocals while Cyrus belted the song’s iconic chorus at the top of her amazing voice.

And here is “War is Over!”

We can’t wait to see more from this duo! Their performance certainly floored us. And we’re so excited to see what the two cooks up in the future!
