85-year-old Loretta Lynn has entered rehabilitation to continue her recovery from a recent stroke, immediately after her hospitalization in Nashville last May 5th.

Updates were tweeted from her team saying,

“Loretta thanks everyone for their prayers, love, and support. She has moved to rehabilitation and we’re happy to report she is doing great!”

Very few updates were given on Lynn’s condition since the original health episode, which forced the singer to cancel her upcoming tour dates. However, last May 10, Lynn’s sister Crystal Gayle once again thanked her fans for their support and the progress she has had so far.

She said, “We are lucky, in this day and age, to have wonderful doctors and nurses taking great care of her,” she wrote. “Plus, they have to put up with our dramatic and crazy family and friends.”

She is expected to make a full recovery and resume her touring schedule, according to Lynn’s official website.

Wouldn’t It Be Great

The announcement for her plans on her new full-length album ‘Wouldn’t It Be Great’ was made last April. The album was co-produced – like Lynn’s 2016 album Full Circle – by John Carter Cash and Lynn’s daughter Patsy Lynn Russell. On the same month, Lynn also had two birthday shows at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. “Due to circumstances beyond our control, the Loretta Lynn date scheduled for July 21st in Dubuque has been canceled,” read a statement on the Facebook page of Dubuque’s Five Flags Center. A similar statement appeared through the social media of the Hoyt Sherman Palace in Des Moines. No further information as to the reason for the cancellations was available.

Worry not though because is definitely looking forward Lynn is definitely looking forward to her return to performing as soon as she recuperates from rehab. It has also been announced there will be a Motorcycle and Music Revival at her ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee on September 28th through October 1st. The rally will feature motorcycle rides, camping and a concert closing the event, at which Lynn is lined up to sing.

Also, The Kentucky icon’s new album ‘Wouldn’t It Be Great’ will be out on August 18th, the follow-up to last year’s Full Circle.

Let’s all hope and pray that she recovers from this quickly.
