“Lookin’ for love in too many faces,
searchin’ their eyes and lookin’ for traces
of what I’m dreamin’ of.
Now that I’ve found a friend and a lover;
I bless the day that I discovered
you, oh you;
lookin’ for love…”
HOWDY, Y’ALL!
I know, a week has almost passed since St. Valentine’s Day but I guess I have this li’l hangover. Or maybe, even a little flashback.
And speaking of which, remember that Classic John Travolta movie, “Urban Cowboy?”
How about the famous song that’s part of its Original Soundtrack (OST), “Looking for Love” by Johnny Lee. One helluva great love song huh?
I don’t know what you think of the Movie Plot but after all them testosterone buzzing around, well I don’t know. Add to them face slappin’ and the way women are being treated in the film, well I REALLY DON’T KNOW. But yeah, all I care for right now is how beautiful a story Looking For Love tells. And it tells the story exactly how it is… The way it is. I guess—I might even say—the Story of My Life.
Editor’s Note: Do you know how Johnny Horton died? If not, read about it in this article: Remembering the Creepy Death of Johnny Horton 58 Years Ago.
Yep, there had been times a-plenty that we had looked for love and often a-time, “…at all the wrong places.” Which, I say would just be a real waste of precious time, confusing and simply cause too much heartache.
But you know what, as all that is well ends well, Looking for Love has a really swell ending. Yep, just like everything and everyone, we would all find our very own True Love. A LOVE True and Lasting. A LOVE that—after all, imperfections—is still Very Special.
“Now that I’ve found a friend and a lover;
I bless the day that I discovered
you, oh you;
lookin’ for love…”
Just beautiful ain’t it? Now here’s a little something for y’all…
