Lonestar wouldn’t be complete without their lead guitarist Michael Britt. He was born on June 15, 1966, in Fort Worth, Texas, USA. Before Michael became a country singer, he first appeared on the TV Series Days of Our Lives in 1965. However, after that he didn’t immediately join the band Lonestar, Michael first was part of the band Canyon.
The Canyon was also a Country band formed in 1981. The band had been performing from 1981 to 1990, and they have released singles that were able to enter the US Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart. “Hot Nights” peaked at No. 40 on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs Charts in 1989. This was the highest spot that the band’s song was able to reach. In 1990, when the band has gone their separate ways. Michael and another band member Keech Rainwater, who was also a member of the band Canyon, joined the band Lonestar.
Before it was Lonestar they were known as Texassee. They named their band Texassee because all five of the original members were from Texas and they met at Tennessee. Eventually, they changed it to Lonestar the same year they formed the band (1992).
The band has been active since 1992 until now. They have released albums and songs that were successful in entering the US Billboard charts and were certified with Gold and platinum by RIAA. Their most successful album was Lonely Grill in 1999 because it was able to be certified platinum three times.
Aside from his career as a country musician Michael appeared on some Hollywood films, such as Honky Tonk Central in 2014, and Comedian in 2002.
Michael has two beautiful children from his first wife Rene Biegaj. He has a son who was born in 2002 and a daughter who was born in 2005. He remarried in 2014 with Latashja Hanson. Hanson used to be one of the hosts of 103.9 KW3.
In 2016, the band released their tenth album Never Enders and by the following year, they embarked on a tour.
Michael Britt has a wonderful life and successful career. Furthermore, he and his band have made a lot of fans happy with their music. Happy Birthday, Mr. Britt and hoping for more new albums to come.
