Are you weight conscious? Or do you want to start integrating a healthier lifestyle into your diet? If you answered ‘yes’ to both questions, perhaps you can learn more about keeping your body in tip-top shape from country singer LeAnn Rimes’ workout regimen.
Rimes recently turned 35 on August 28, and people are wondering how she is able to maintain her beautiful figure. Surely, with family time and her career mingling in all of her schedules, her hectic routine can inevitably take a toll on her health. At the same time, rumors about the singer suffering from an eating disorder surfaced when she lost a lot of weight during her younger years. When she and her trainer discovered that all that was due to anxiety and stress, she shifted her diet and exercise into something more proactive.
At first, Rimes turned to boxing.
“Boxing is one of the best workouts you could possibly do. A two-minute round doesn’t sound like much, but when you’re moving constantly and throwing punches, it wears you out. And boxing workouts really build up your stamina.” Her husband Eddie Cibrian have once pointed out that her boxing workouts are too hard—something that the singer affirms. “I’m serious about my exercise. I don’t just doodle around. I see people at the gym talking on their cell phones. If they think their bodies are gonna change, you’ve got to put in the effort!”
On her Instagram account, the country star began documenting her workouts, too. She started using the hashtag #TightTushTuesday on her videos. Every Tuesday, she would upload new body-sculpting moves which fans would readily adapt into their own daily fitness routine due to the fact that the moves require little-to-no equipment.
Putting her rigorous exercises aside, LeAnn Rimes has long turned to a mostly-vegan diet, too. Her meals comprise lean proteins such as salmon and chicken as needed, with vegetables as the main course. She even has healthy recipes featured on her lifestyle blog, Soul of EverLe.
Finally, Rimes continues to remind her followers that being healthy and fit isn’t all about the physical body. Maintaining a healthy mind and heart is also very crucial. She prays, meditates and writes her own journal. For the cover model-singer, it’s a matter of finding “the magic combination of what settles you, relaxes you, and makes you happy.” She finds writing as one of the most cathartic things to do. The singer writes letters that convey all the things that she has bottled up inside her, and instead of mailing it, she would burn or erase it. This way, she wouldn’t have to carry around her feelings anymore.
