The former lead vocalist of Restless Hart band proves that whether he’s with a group or performing solo, his singing prowess is equally great. Shortly after leaving the band to pursue a solo career in the early ‘90s, Larry Stewart released his first solo hit single. Throughout his vocation as a solo artist, he recorded a total of four albums. Most of which produced charting singles.
In 1996, Stewart joined various country music artists for the recording of selected Disney songs. The said collaboration resulted in the production of the album The Best of Country Sing the Best of Disney. Released by Walt Disney Records on September 10, 1996, the album features several country stars singing the soundtracks of Disney’s different animated films. Among them were Alison Kraus (“Baby Mine”), Bryan White (“When You Wish Upon A Star”), and Diamond Rio (“Beauty and the Beast”).
In the album, Stewart sang the music for the film The Lion King, “Can You Feel the Love Tonight.” Stewart’s version of this Elton John’s highly successful song is as definitive as its original recording. He’s proven anew that country vocal styling never fails to give justice to any good song. If you’re looking for a great melody to soothe your ears and relax, try listening to this tune.
