Kenny Chesney Makes Final Love Tour Stop Extra Special for Fan Battling Cancer

Last year, Kenny Chesney makes his fans swoon during the final stop for his Spread The Love tour. Yes, his gruff looks and his voice alone are already swoon-worthy, but this particularly sweet gesture he did for one of his fans is perhaps the most heart-thumping quality about the famed country singer.

With over 120,000 fans in attendance, his back-to-back shows at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass were sold out. Finally, during his tour in Boston, Chesney came face-to-face with Kelly Swanson, a special fan of his. Chesney was performing a mashup of Steve Miller Band’s The Joker and Bob Marley’s Three Little Birds when he spotted Swanson along the crowd’s front row. The eight-time Entertainer of the Year winner walked closer to where Swanson was, then reached out his hand to her so that he could pull her on stage. He then takes off Swanson’s Red Sox ball cap, revealing his fan’s bald head. But people were more surprised when Chesney took off his hat as well and put his own bald head against Swanson’s. Next, he sang the line from Three Little Birds, “Every Little Thing is Gonna Be Alright.”

In response, Swanson laughed then pointed to her friends who are recording her priceless moment with her idol onstage. Before the country rock star sent her offstage, he gave her a big hug and a kiss.

After the concert, Kelly Swanson posted the video on her Facebook Page and captioned the sweet moment with

Thank you Christine Panno-West for capturing this special moment for me. It holds so much emotion for so many people near and dear to me as well as those who are still fighting or have fought their battle with cancer. The outpouring of posts, texts, and messages proves that there is still a lot of good people in this world.

She then ends her caption with #everylittlethingisgonnabealright.

As if that wasn’t enough to convey her happiness, she also posted a message on Facebook as a way of expressing her gratitude to Chesney. It read,

For all those that know me know that Kenny Chesney is my utmost favorite entertainer, and I have attended many of his shows over the years. Last night was amazing. It was a true testament of the type of person Kenny is… a genuine, standout human being that spreads the love. As if it wasn’t enough for him to catch my eye to let me know ‘every little thing is gonna be alright… I promise’, but to be brought up on stage was so surreal. Thank you, Kenny, for making my night so special and one I will never forget.

Finally, Swanson also gives a shout out to her friends, thanking them for helping make her summer more memorable and special.
