Believers have a lot of challenges and sometimes being a Christian will set us apart from the world. If we say no to temptations or worldly things, we are labeled as a snob, a killjoy or a person who is not easy to be with. Still, be proud and show to the world that we are Christians who stand by our faith. I’m happy whenever I see talented artists who are not ashamed to praise the Lord, and one of them is Kari Jobe.
“The Gospel Singer”
Kari Brooke Jobe, also known as Kari Jobe, is an American singer-songwriter. More importantly, her genre is contemporary Christian music; it focuses on Christian faith through songs. Also, this young woman received one Grammy Awards and nine Dove Award nominations and she won four of them. Thus, she is really blessed, Kari Jobe is a small woman with a huge faith.
Kari Jobe was known for her faith awakening songs. Anyone who will watch her will really be blessed. Further, she also covered some Christian songs and one of them is “Revelation Song.” In addition, this was originally sung by the group “Gateway Worship,” an American Christian worship band. Both artists had their interpretation of the song but let’s not compare them because all they want to do is to praise Him.
A Faith Moving Song
“Revelation Song” was written by Jennie Lee Riddle, an American Christian songwriter. Further, she is also a worship leader and a teacher, but she involves herself more in music. She creates good songs to build the faith of people and to give praise to the Lord. She once said,
“the next chapter of my life will surely involve caring for the Church by caring for its creatives. I’ve been doing it for 25 years and don’t intend on stopping until I meet Jesus face-to-face.”
From her statement, it seems like no one can stop her from what she does. Due to her contribution to Christian music, she was nominated for five Dove Awards and she took home three of them.
When “Revelation Song” first came out the market, it rapidly gained exposure. Thus, having a lot of people requested it on U.S. Christian radio stations. Due to its popularity, a lot of artists made their versions and interpretation to the song and one of my favorites is Kari Jobe.
Lastly, Revelation song also won the 2010 Dove Awards for Worship Song of the Year. Truly, being blessed with this faith moving masterpiece is good but it’s more acceptable if we share it to the world.
He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20
