Kane Brown & Marshmello’s Big Collaboration

Crossovers aren’t new in music and it’s about time that Kane Brown and Marshmello came together to produce an amazing song entitled “One Thing Right.” This long-anticipated collaboration showcases Brown in a bad boy image, in an ultimately sweet love song for his wife, Katelyn Jae.

Brown and Marshmello released this song on the 21st of June. The track begins with a story framing Brown’s baritone with a minimalist guitar arrangement, building up to a flurry of bass, and other flurries of EDM arrangements.

Brown explains to Billboard what the song really means to him, also noting that it is basically the opposite of the song “Happier.”

“We wrote a tune that’s basically the opposite of that. It just…tells you everything that I’ve done wrong growing up and it’s saying that the one thing I did get right was you, talking about my wife.”

The music video solidified the bad boy persona that the song builds up. Marshmello opens up the scene when he walks out of jail and hops in a car. The two cruises down a dusty old road leading back to a girl’s house where we presume represent the “One Thing Right” in the video.

The encounter is followed by a police chase leading up to the end of the video.

In addition to this exciting collaboration, Brown just released a song on his own called “Like a Rodeo.” This track showcases a plethora of emotions and feelings that come in relationships, both the highs and lows. It’s thought-provoking and to be expected with Brown’s repertoire.
