When love comes your way, it feels like there’s a new world to live in. Loving someone adds color to our dull lives. It gives us the purpose to believe in the beauty of life that brightens our darkest days. It is what love feels like, as Josh Turner released his song “Never Had A Reason” in 2017. The lyrics were composed and arranged by Al Anderson, Ben Daniel, and Brandon Kinney. It was included in his album “Deep South,” which for him, symbolizes hardworking people who enjoy the little pleasures in life, such as being outdoors and partaking in sports, community, and church because these are ways to live. Along the album, “Deep South,” were eleven tracks, including “Hometown Girl” and “Lay Low.”

The song’s message was wholesome and sincere; listeners can relate it to reality. It was about a man who believed that he was content with his life, not until a woman arrived. The presence of this woman taught him the genuine meaning of love. He cannot believe how love can make him do special things he never did before for a woman. He realized that living life to the fullest means loving someone with pure intentions.

Everyone may agree that Josh Turner songs seemed a refresher to the traditional country music but with a touch of the same genre. The song “Never Had A Reason” is a great song with a sincere message. The album “Deep South,” was ranked at No. 58 in the US Top Country Albums in 2017. Meanwhile, “Lay Low,” the first song from the album, peaked at number 25 on the Country Airplay list. The second single, “Hometown Girl,” became Turner’s seventh No. 1 single when it reached No. 2 on Billboard’s Country Airplay Chart and No. 1 on Mediabase.
