Joe Mullins himself is a talented singer and banjo player. He is the band leader and lead vocalist of the band. The singer is known for playing mostly bluegrass and gospel music.
Before the Radio Ramblers, Mullins was a founding member of the band Longview in 1997. That band also won IBMA’s Song of the Year and Recorded Event of the Year awards during that time.
The band, Radio Ramblers, was formed in 2006 by Mullins to help promote his radio station. Members of the band include Adam McIntosh on guitar, Evan McGregor on the fiddle, Mike Terry playing the mandolin, and Tim Kidd on bass. They released their first CD the next year titled “Tuned In” and their album “Rambler’s Call” was released in 2010.
Billy Strings is a bluegrass artist who is still starting on his musical career. The Rolling Stone Magazine named him one of the Top Ten New Country Artists to Know in 2017. In an article published by the same magazine in 2018 called “Bluegrass Prodigy Billy Strings Plots 2018 Spring Tour”, the article talks about Billy Strings saying:
“Billy Strings doesn’t have any trouble living up to his name. [He is] one of the latest breakneck guitar pickers to emerge in the bluegrass world.”
