If you’re a fan of America’s Got Talent, you would have came across  this Kentucky talent Jimmy Rose who was also a veteran chasing his dreams. In 2013 of America’s Got Talent, he gave an incredible rendition of Bryan Adams’ ‘Heaven’ and it never occurred to a lot of people that it sounded better with country twang in it.

Heaven, Jimmy Rose

On his AGT introduction, Jimmy Rose revealed how he graduated from high school and how living in his town forced him to choose between limited options. Jimmy Rose also revealed that he went to coal mining instead of going to college and later on had himself deployed in Iraq as a marine soldier.

During his time serving as a marine soldier, he learned to strum his guitar and give musicality to those Kentucky twang and vocal prowess. Indeed, we cannot agree more with him when he said, “I don’t want to be the guy who did not choose my musical dream.”

“Heaven” Lyrics

Oh – thinkin’ about all our younger years
There was only you and me
We were young and wild and free

Now nothin’ can take you away from me
We’ve been down that road before
But that’s over now
You keep me comin’ back for more

And baby, you’re all that I want
When you’re lyin’ here in my arms
I’m findin’ it hard to believe
We’re in heaven

And love is all that I need
And I found it there in your heart
It isn’t too hard to see
We’re in heaven

Oh – once in your life you find someone
Who will turn your world around
Bring you up when you’re feelin’ down

Yeah – nothin’ could change what you mean to me
Oh there’s lots that I could say
But just hold me now
Cause our love will light the way

And baby, you’re all that I want
When you’re lyin’ here in my arms
I’m findin’ it hard to believe
We’re in heaven

And love is all that I need
And I found it there in your heart
It isn’t too hard to see
We’re in heaven
