My parents raised me conservatively and religiously, I went to Bible school and learned the wonderful things Jesus did. From resurrecting the dead, turning water into wine and dividing the Red Sea. In that case, I think that it will be easy for you to believe and have faith if you were brought up in a Christian way. Further, someday we will meet Him at a place where we will praise His name for eternity.

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

Revelation 21:44

“Excitement”

“In the Sweet By and By” is a Christian Hymn and was written by S. Fillmore Bennett and was musically arranged by Joseph P. Webster. In addition, the two were good friends, and Bennett knows Webster so well. So, the creation of the song was a mere accident because of Webster’s melancholic attitude.

Incidentally, while the two were in the office of Bennett, he noticed that Webster is melancholic. He then asked if there something wrong and his good friend answered,

“It will be alright by and by”

Then, Bennett suddenly replied,

“The sweet by and by! Why would not make it a good hymn?”

And his good friend agreed. From that moment, Bennett immediately wrote the lyrics as fast as he could. Eventually, he gave it to Webster for him to put the melody using his violin. For the record, they created the hymn in less than 30 minutes.

In my opinion, they are really gifted in creating good songs. At last, the hymn was made known to the public in the 19th century and became a Gospel standard ever since. To date, the song has even performed by some of the big names in the Country Music Industry.

“The Gospel Singer”

“Bird Youmans” is a Country Gospel singer, he was formerly traveling and playing with different local artists for a living. Consequently, he returned to his roots after ten years of being a solo artist and transitioned to a gospel singer. Maybe the Lord had called him back to sing praises to Him since his dad was a Baptist Preacher.

Since he retired in performing, “Bird Youmans” had all the time to sing hymns to the Lord. All in all, there are other versions of the song but his version is my favorite. Going to the traditional gospel vibe that we all know. In closing, the song concentrates in meeting the Lord in that wonderful place and I hope that when the day comes, we will all be ready to be with him.
