Lonestar is one of the best bands in the country music scene. They have placed numerous top-charting singles on the country charts. On the other hand, they set a total of nine number one singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. “I’m Already There” is one of the nine singles besides “No News,” “Come Cryin’ to Me,” “Amazed,” “Smile,” “What About Now,” “Tell Her,” “My Front Porch Looking In,” and “Mr. Mom.”

“I’m Already There” was inspired by Richie McDonald’s son. Richie McDonald is one of the songwriters of the song. According to McDonald, they were away for six weeks when he called his son. His son asked him when he will come home. Then, the song was created.

Furthermore, “I’m Already There” was adopted by military men and women serving overseas and their families after the 9/11. A song that defines coming home and hope. Lonestar re-released the song in 2003 with full messages from military families.
