How Great Thou Art” is a hymn that is very familiar to us all. Now watch it performed once again by a Christian who has clearly been very blessed because of his faith.

“They still bear fruit in Old Age; they are ever full of sap and green . . .” – Psalm 92:14

Old age is a wonder among us humans, isn’t it? To some it is scary thinking that they won’t be able to do much, to others it is a time for late exploration. However or whatever we think about old age, one thing is for certain, old age doesn’t stop a Christian to serve nor does it slow them down from connecting with God.

The verse above, Psalm 92:14, is a reassurance from God that age does nothing to our faith and that during old age, it is a time when we are at our peak. The verse basically says that those who are old and still faithful are filled with wisdom, knowledge, and tranquility because God blessed them to be so.

If we ever need an example of this, then check out this wonderful performance George Beverly Shea, an elderly man nearly 103 years old back in 2011 still happily singing “How Great Thou Art” to a crowd of people.

“How Great Thou Art” and the Blessings You Give to Those Who Continue To Believe

Shea is perhaps one of the best examples of the blessings God gives his people. He was able to live so long and enjoy his life thanks to his strong faith.

Because of that strong faith, God returned tenfold and has blessed him with a wonderful life. The same reward extends to us, though we don’t know how long we will live, because of our faith, we can at least be sure that we are blessed by the Lord and can live happily because of it.

This is the art of God, He properly rewards us and continues to give us reasons to be happy and keep our faith going. Watch and listen to the wonderful video of George Beverly Shea and be inspired by the unending faith he has and the happiness he exudes because of it.
