For a few moments, we want to call your attention today. We will ponder from this thought: “Holding to God’s Unchanging Hand”. Together with this reflection is its hymn from Roy Acuff. Allow us to take our time today, walk through this transcript, and pull out some chunks of faith that will encourage each one of us.
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?
What The Bible Says
Can anything ever detach us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we face distress or disaster, are wronged, starving, penniless, in danger, or endangered with death? The good news is, the scripture states that nothing that happens to us nor anything that comes against us shall separate us from God’s love. The bible goes on to tell us that all things work together for the good. The love of God is with us according to His purpose. The verse ends by telling us that there is no separation from the love of Christ. What we must hark back to is that when the squalls of life start to wrath and our boats seems to fill with water and the wind and rain stops to rage, we must still hold on to God’s unchanging hands.
Sum of the Matter
Note these things and reflect on these matters, every day.
Christ loves us now and always. The reason we say nothing will separate us from the love of Christ is that Christ is alive and is still loving us now. He is our mediator, seeing to it that his work is not temporarily finished, but by bringing us undying joy. His love is not a memory.
This almighty, effective, caring love does not spare us from mishaps in this life but brings us safely to everlasting joy with God. Overall, Jesus Christ greatly loves his people. The Bible and this song actually makes a statement that says,
“Since or because God is for us, who could be against us?”
Hold on to God’s unchanging hands for He changes not. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
