Justin Moore Got an Emmy Nod in the Possibly Most Hilarious Way

Justin Moore Got an Emmy Nod in the Possibly Most Hilarious Way 1

He may be one of the hottest country singers today and guess what? Justin Moore just got nominated for an Emmy! Can you guess how?

It’s quite unlikely but yeah, Justin Moore showed a funny side of him in a performance in a talk show  Jimmy Kimmel Live. He brought life into a song about a story of a man who had an unfortunate face-off with a shower tool. The song is called, “The Ballad of Claus Jorstad (Devil Stool).”

The skit was co-written by Kimmel and Gary Greenburg. It was interpreted by country singer Moore in a hysterical parody video about a true story. A  Norwegian guy, Claus Jorstad, got his “family jewels” stuck in an IKEA stool while talking a shower.

As part of Jimmy Kimmel Live’s CMA Awards coverage last night, the host recruited Moore to tell the story of a Norwegian man “with a very sad sack” who got his junk lodged in a nifty Ikea shower stool. Aptly titled “The Ballad of Claus Jorstad (Devil Stool),” Moore kept a straight face while sing-talking lines like “you have to be a sadistic soul to make a stool with a nut-sized hole” and “the stool’s name should have clued me in: testikullepinchengrabbenin.” Don’t worry, Claus was ok – as you can see in the video above, cold-water shrinkage actually does come with some benefits.

“If you had told me I would be a part of earning an Emmy nod for singing a song about what I did, I would have thought you were crazy,” said Justin according to radio station KATM. “Nonetheless, it’s very cool to hear. I’m excited for Jimmy and his crew. Hopefully, we can bring it home. They told me this week they would share it with me, so it would be pretty cool to add an Emmy to the mantle.”

“Family Jewels” is nominated under,  “Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics.” I’m pretty sure that after you watch the video and listen to the lyrics, you will agree and you’ll also know why it deserves to win.

Some people may find the video offensive but I hope you find the funnier side of it as entertaining.
