A Legendary Hit
We are sure that you will agree if we say that the song “Angels Among Us” is the best if not, it is one of the best songs of Alabama.
This gospel reached the 51st place spot on the Billboard Hot Country Singles and Tracks chart when it was released. The song experienced more success the following year. Unfortunately, it did not reach anything higher than the 22nd spot.
With the passage of time, almost all of the fans developed a special sense of fondness for the song. That fondness made the song one of the first songs someone thinks of when they think of Alabama.
Randy Owen, the lead singer of the group, spoke of the impacts of “Angels Among Us” during an interview saying that the band has received “hundreds of letters from all over the world saying that the song was a blessing.”
A New Version for A Good Cause
24 years after the song’s release, a cast of talented country stars gathered to offer a new version to the tune and this gathering is all for a good cause. Being led by Scotty McCreery, artists like Sara Evans, Carly Pearce, and Raelynn stepped into the studio for the recording of an ensemble cover of the song.
The reason behind this wonderful cover of the song was to support the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Some of the children from the said hospital can be seen in the video. We’re sure that this cover will put a smile on your faces as you watch the artist sing and interact with the children.
