A long time ago, in a land called Pocahontas, a sweet child was born. A single mother raised her. The child and the mother lived in a trailer park for years. The child grew up wanting to be famous and sing all over the world. Little did the girl know that she will be a star and she will be famous in the world of the country music scene. And yes, she became a star, she is the “Redneck Woman” Gretchen Wilson.

Gretchen Wilson is celebrating her 45th Birthday. With this, let’s all greet her a Happy Birthday and wish her more success and blessings as she goes along with her life. To celebrate with her, let’s listen and jive once more to her most successful and signature song “Redneck Woman.”

Redneck Woman…

John Rich along with Gretchen Wilson, herself, wrote the words and lyrics of “Redneck Woman.” It was Wilson’s signature song and the only number one single on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. The song earned Wilson her Grammy award for “Best Female Country Vocal Performance.”

Before becoming a star, Wilson had struggles, but this pushed her to pursue her dreams. She left home to reach her musical career. As she went on with her life, Wilson worked in the kitchen of local clubs, singing for extra tips to pay the bills.

Wilson waited for years for her break, Big And Rich discovered her while she was singing. They were impressed and so they introduced her to the Nashville music community. Then, her dreams came true. She signed with Sony Music Nashville in 2003. Her debut album “Here for the Party” skyrocketed and became quadruple platinum. Thanks to her single “Redneck Woman,” the song became a top charting single on the country charts. Then, her follow up album “All Jacked Up” in 2005 was also a massive hit.
