“A Girl Like You” is Easton Corbin’s latest single released last year. It was written by Rhett Akins, Ashley Gorley, and Jesse Frasure. The song peaked at No. 15 on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs for a total of 45 weeks. Furthermore, the song peaked at No. 98 on the US Billboard Hot 100 for one week only. It also peaked at No. 6 on the US Billboard Country Airplay for a total of 55 weeks.

Parting Ways with Mercury Nashville

Corbin parted ways with his longtime record label home, Mercury Nashville. “A Girl Like You” was his last song to be released by his label. It was also supposed to be the number one song on his album which he was working on. However, after leaving his record label no further announcement was given about his upcoming album. Corbin signed with Mercury Nashville in 2009. He released his first album with them and also had his 2 No. 1 songs, “A Little More Country Than That” and “Roll With It.” Corbin was supposedly going to release his fourth album but things changed.

“A Girl Like You” Content

It’s singing a song for an extraordinary country girl who is not the same as others. Expressing what a lucky guy he is to be with such a beautiful and one of a kind lady. The narrator likes his lady no matter what she does, she is still beautiful and amazing. It’s an up-tempo song and it’s very captivating.

A Little Bit About Easton Corbin

Easton Corbin is an American country singer who originated from Trenton, Florida. He started his career as a country singer by entering some contests until he was signed by Joe Fisher to Mercury Nashville in 2009. His first album with them was a self-titled album that peaked at No. 4 on the US Billboard Top Country Albums. His first single with his record label was “A Little More Country Than That.” The song earned him his first No. 1 song to top the US Billboard Hot Country Songs. He released his second album (All Over the Road) and third album (About to Get Real) under the same record label. This year he parted ways with Mercury Nashville.

No further notice was given to when his new album will be released.
