Friendship has a huge impact on our health and well-being, but it’s not always easy to maintain friendships. Developing and maintaining good friendships require effort. The enjoyment and comfort friendship can provide, however, makes the investment worthwhile.
Blake Shelton and Craig Morgan‘s story is an example of a deep and positive friendship.
Blake Shelton and Craig Morgan
They developed a good friendship over the years. They’ve been there for each other through the good times, the rough moments, and everything in between. They supported each other and often, they even wrote hilarious poems to each other.

Unfortunately, the death of Craig Morgan’s son in 2016 crumbled his world. Three years went by but the grief of a father never ends. This prompted Craig Morgan to write “The Father, My Son, & the Holy Ghost” at 3 A.M. and he finished it in 4 hours.
The Power of Friendship
After hearing the song sent by Morgan, Shelton did the sweetest thing to his long-time friend. He made a drive to push it to No. 1 to iTunes in September. He was later joined by other stars like Ellen DeGeneres, Gwen Stefani, and others. He made a bold statement saying the song will make it to the radio chart. After the successful campaign, the song was released to country radio as an official single on October 7.
On October 18, Craig Morgan and Blake Shelton appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show to tell more about the song.
Kelly said that the song is very beautiful. It is a vessel for a lot of people’s tragedies that are going to relate to this song.
” I didn’t connect to anything. It was his story and hit me that just knowing him. It’s a horrible tragedy, I can’t even imagine. But man, it’s such a great song.” -Blake Shelton
It is so heartwarming to see Blake Shelton stepping aside and letting the spotlight on his friend. He understands the pain his friend is going through and he is giving all he can give to lift his friend up.
Morgan is ever so grateful to his best friend. In one of his interviews, he said:
“I am truly humbled by the response to the song so far and to my friend Blake Shelton for what he has done to honor Jerry.”
There is a silent bond with the person who knows us better than anyone else in the world and there is nothing quite as unique as the relationship we have with our best friend.
