Friends, Buddy, and Bud – those are just a few of the terms we use to call our friends. Thus, they are the individuals who understand us. Sometimes they know us better than our parents. Also, they have mutual affection towards us and in most cases, they are the people who can encourage and make us laugh. It’s nice to be surrounded by this type of people because they can be our refuge in times of trouble. Such was the kind of bond that Florida Georgia Line showed on their hit “This is How We Roll.”
Buddy Like a Back Road
Florida Georgia Line consists of Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelly. They rose to fame in 2012 with their debut single “Cruise.” Also, this is considered as their greatest achievement in their career. Upon their breakthrough into the country music industry, they were able to produce hit after hit songs. Even more, their single helped pioneer the “bro-country” genre.
Like other rising artists, Florida Georgia Line has to prove themselves in order to gain a spot in the music industry. In addition, the duo started as a cover band playing at nightclubs during weekends. Soon enough, they were discovered by the music producer Joey Moi and their career peaked like a skyrocket. I guess, the secret ingredient to their successful career is their adaptability to the changes that happened in the country music industry.
Here’s to the Good Times
The country duo released “This is How We Roll” in 2013. Interestingly, another rising country star Luke Bryan was featured in this masterpiece. Eventually, the song entered the Billboard Hot 100, and Hot Country Songs charts. This is something to be proud of because the masterpiece was also a success in terms of profitability, selling over 2 million copies in the U.S.
Florida Georgia Line was applauded by critics on the release of this hit. Anyhow, this is their best since “Cruise” was out of the market. In my opinion, there’s more to come from this duo and we better watch out for any updates.
