Cheers to Country Hall of Fame’s 3 New Inductees!

The esteemed Country Hall of Fame recently announced three brand new additions to their already growing list of honorable country singers. Having been consistent and adamant at recognizing the industry’s legendary talents for sixty years, the Hall of Fame’s highly confidential panel of judges have been keen on choosing the next set of artists to elect.

So without further ado, this year’s brand new inductees are Alan Jackson, Don Schlitz, and the late Jerry Reed. During the night of the induction, the artists and their families were filled with happiness and sentiment. The night was likewise accompanied with soulful performances by George Strait, Aloe Blacc, Jamey Johnson, and Mary Chapin Carpenter. Vince Gill, Bobby Bare, and Connie Smith were tasked to present the medallions to the Country Hall of Fame’s latest members.

I didn’t come here to get into the Hall of Fame, I came here to make real country music. It feels like I don’t deserve it, I’m not supposed to be here but it couldn’t be a better honor.”  shares Alan Jackson.

Reed’s daughter, Seidina Hubbard, who was present during the awarding, said that her father would have probably be “speechless for the first time ever in his whole life.”

The criteria used for electing artists has been and still remains unknown to the public to this day. The Country Hall of Fame is just proof that traditional country music is very much still alive. At the same time, while it stays rooted to the very distinct beginnings and character that the country music genre possesses, it continues to evolve and be more mature and open through time.

Schlitz shared to the audience that artists need to “write what you want to hear because nobody knows when lightning will strike.” He adds, “Don’t sit on one song and think that is the song.”

Furthermore, Hall of Famer Charlie Daniels says that now, more than it has ever had, America needs country music. “If you are country music, this is the pinnacle of where you are headed.”
