Eric Church announced a few weeks ago on his Twitter account that he released a new song and is getting ready for his new album, which is coming out this October 2018. He released the first single from his album Desperate Man on July 13, 2018.
Desperate Man, The Making
“Desperate Man” is a country rock song written by Eric Church and Ray Wylie Hubbard. This is the lead single from his upcoming album. In an interview with the Rolling Stone, Church said that he was desperate to make an album that is how his upcoming album Desperate Man was born.
“That’s where ‘Desperate Man’ kind of came from,” he continues. “I wrote that in the studio. I got a little bit desperate in there to just find an album, because it was not fucking happening.”
About the Song
The song is about a man who tried all he can in life, but despite everything, it seems that nothing is working out. However, the narrator of the song is a positive man and he will do anything and not give up. He seems to have hope despite someone told him that he is only going to fail. This song has a deeper meaning when you listen to it. It gives a glimmer of hope as the character doesn’t want to give up in whatever he is going through. It gives people a good lesson in life, which is to keep moving forward.
The Music Video
Eric Church and his team finally released the music video to his song “Desperate Man.” Eric Church and his co-writer Ray Hubbard appeared on the music video. At first, you may think that Church is involved in a nasty drug dealing situation. However, as the video goes on you will realize that Church was actually not holding or dealing with drugs. He was busy discussing how to create Vinyl records to send to his fans. He was even investigated by an agent named EMI. Church currently label record is EMI Record.
