A Time for Everything
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:
A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,
A time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,
A time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,
A time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
A time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away,
A time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak,
A time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.
The Message of Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
In today’s society where almost any opinion can be stated and heard, where almost every complaint, valid or not, are being taken seriously, where many feel that they should be a priority, it feels like everyone today forgets that there are proper times and avenues to doing the things we want or saying what we want.
This Bible verse is one that needs to be highlighted especially among those of us who feel privileged and are slowly forgetting the Christian way to interact with people. There is nothing wrong with stating and opinion, giving a complaint or giving our piece of minds.
However, as Christians, we need to be reminded that there is a right way to do it and the right time as well. Many today are forgetting that the Bible teaches proper manners where God, in more ways than one, has given instructions on how we deal with each other.
The message of Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 is straight forward and clear, let us take some time today to reflect and pray. Ask ourselves whether we were acting the right way at the right time, and ask for forgiveness for any wrongs we may have done. Remember that the Lord loves us, He only wants us to be respectful and humble.
Reflect on the message of the verse while listening to “Thank You Jesus For Loving Me:”
