Meaning Behind the Song

Everyone is unique in their own way, be it in talent, looks, or personality. Others are deemed the “most lucky ones” because they are given astonishing beauty that could easily have others head over heels for them.

Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show’s “When You’re in Love with a Beautiful Woman” discusses the struggles a man experiences when with a woman possessing beauty. Of course, you think you’re the only one attracted to her? Nope, you have a lot of other people admiring her from afar.

Call it over-reacting, being over-protective, but it might be difficult to reassure yourself that everyone is looking at your girl whenever you’re out together. Trust issues might start to arise from within, and then again, you must constantly remind yourself that the woman they are staring at is yours.

This country song and its groovy, slow vibes, along with the vocals of the band, would make you want to jive along and completely forget about your insecurities.
