‘Jolene’ songstress, Dolly Parton is set to drive to a different but pivotal career direction as country icon sets her eye on releasing her first ever children’s album entitled ‘I Believe in You.’
This was announced on all her social media accounts last Tuesday as well as a Nashville Press Conference.
Dolly Parton, I Believe in You
With Dolly Parton looking like an Enchanted creature that’ll grant all our childhood wishes, her album art cover teases how magical it would be to have Parton’s voice cater to a younger audience who also undeniably adore her.
The ‘I Believe in You’ album is set to be released digitally on September 29 2017 and it would be expected to fill record stores on October 13 2017. According to Dolly Parton’s social media announcement, all of the album’s proceeds would benefit her charity The Imagination Library which aims to improve children’s literacy.
On her social media postings, Dolly Parton did a trip down memory lane as this career move is just one of the first that she undertook in the span of her career. To quote her:
“My first album was released 50 years ago and it’s been an amazing 50 years since then. I am very excited that now I’m coming out with my first children’s album! I’m so proud to say that all of the proceeds from this CD will go to the Imagination Library! It’s been 20 years since the Imagination Library was launched. We’ve seen 100 million books get into the hands of children and hopefully there will be many more.”
