After 18 Years, Dolly Parton is Coming Back to the Grammys!

Dolly Parton will perform on the Grammy Stage for the first time in 18 years! She will be performing her songs from the “Dumplin” soundtrack. She has co-written six new songs for the Netflix blockbuster, as well as re-recorded six songs from her iconic repertoire. This performance marks her return to the prestigious Grammy stage for the first time since 2001.

Parton has earned eight Grammys over her lengthy career, and she is also a Hall of Famer. She will also be honored as the MusiCares Person of the Year. MusiCares is the Charitable Arm of the Recording Academy. It provides a safety net of critical assistance for music people in times of need.

Parton had some heartfelt words about her honor.

“I am so excited and humbled to be honored as MusiCares Person of the Year. It’s even more special knowing the gala benefits music people in need. I can’t wait to hear all of the great artists singing my music.”

Not only will she be able to perform her songs from "Dumplin'," but she will also be getting her own moment at the 2019 Grammy Awards! Performances for this Dolly tribute would include a medley with Little Big Town, Maren Morris, Kacey Musgraves, and Katy Perry.

2019 Grammy Presenters

Country artists will also be presenters at the 2019 Grammy Awards. This year’s performers were announced on Thursday, the 7th of February. The presenters include Kelsea Ballerini, Kane Brown, and Luke Combs. Both Combs and Ballerini are this year's Grammy nominees.

Ballerini is nominated for Best Country album for her second studio album entitled “Unapologetically,” while Combs is nominated for Best New Artist. He shares the nomination with fellow country singer Margo Price.

Other presenters would include Alessia Cara, Charlie Wilson, Leon Bridges, BTS, Meghan Trainor among others. Actors Anna Kendrick, Jada Pinkett Smith, and other actresses are also presenting at the 2019 Grammy Awards.

As previously announced, the performers for the 2019 Grammy Awards include Kacey Musgraves, Dan + Shay, Brandi Carlile, Miley Cyrus, and Dolly Parton.

The 2019 Grammy Awards will be on the 10th of February at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Singer and songwriter Alicia Keys will be hosting the event.
