Dallas Smith Takes Crown Amidst Other Great Artists
Dallas Smith is a Canadian singer and songwriter dishing out awesome country tunes. Before taking on a solo career, he was the lead in a band called Default. The band was quite successful being a multi-platinum band with several hits under them.
Other nominees for the MNP Artist of the Year award were Paul Brandt, Dean Brody, Tim Hicks, and Brett Kissel. All of whom are great artists with a lot of great songs. This year, however, Dallas Smith takes home the title.
As a solo artist, he has produced hit singles such as “Wastin’ Gas”, “Autograph”, and “Side Effects”. Many of his songs usually make it into the top 10 of the Canadian Country Charts. One of his more recent songs “Drop” is already at the number three spot on Canada’s country charts.
This isn’t his first time receiving such prestige though as the star has many other wins under his belt such as the 2018 CCMA “Video of the year”, CCMA 2017 “Album of the Year” and “Single of the Year”, 2016 “Entertainer of the Year” by the British Columbia Country Music Association to name just a few.
Tenille Townes Takes The Cake!
Tenille Townes beat out other nominees for the Female Country of the Year for this year’s CCMA Awards. Other nominees for this award include Lindsay Ell, Jess Moskaluke, Mehan Patrick, Guylaine Tanguay.
Tenille Townes is a Canadian country singer and songwriter with a bit of country rock in her music style. Talent really shows on her as she was first nominated for the CCMA Female artist of the year when she was only 17. Though she didn’t win that time, this year is a different story.
The country star is known for hits such as “Somebody’s Daughter”, which was also nominated for the 2019 CMT Breakthrough Video of the Year, “White Horse” and “Dear Heart” to name a few.
