An Inspirational Duo
Cori and Kelly starts to explore where their partnership and a lifelong love of music will take them as they released their newest single “Take Me Back To Church.” Oh, by the way, for those who have heard their name for the first time, they are two of the artists to look forward to in the Christian Country Music world. Their main sound focuses on the inspirational country. Also, they specialize in covering Contemporary Christian radio’s top hits.
The duo was officially established in 2014. They have been extensively traveling throughout the southern states. They perform at women’s conferences, churches, concerts, and other events. The versatility of their voices has created a heavenly harmony. The most amazing thing about them is their incredible ability to share lead vocal responsibilities on various tracks.
Outside of their music life is an equally fulfilling career. Cori is the Preschool Director at Forest Park United Methodist Church in Panama City, Florida, while Kelly teaches Marketing and TV Production at bay High School also in Panama City.
Take Me Back To My Church
“Take Me Back To My Church” is an original from the duo, released in May 2018. Their music is produced by Brent Rader, who also produces for Joe Nichols. Interestingly, they are also featuring Tim Crouch, the fiddle player who’ve been with country legends such as Ricky Skaggs, Dolly Parton, Alan Jackson, Alison Kraus and more.
With these promising people who helped in the total production of their single, there is no doubt the track turned out to be an angelic sound that brings inspiration indeed. The single is currently receiving airplay on stations across the US and is growing in popularity.
The songs talks about the serenity and peace felt whenever we are at the church. It is a place where one can find a true family. After a hard day of work, and toxic engagements, one day in the church can wash away the pessimism that may try to bring us down. As you listen to the song, your mind creates a picture of a simple yet jubilant place filled with innocent young children, as described by the lyrics.
The song particularly reminds us to go to church from time to time, no matter how busy we are. After all, we are the one who actually benefits from it, we receive the pure joy brought by the fellowship with fellow believers. Also, visiting the house of God is one way of bonding with His glory and grace.
