Chris Stapleton’s “Traveller” Hits $2 million Sales

Chris Stapleton's "Traveller" Hits $2 million Sales 1A country star on the rise, Chris Stapleton’s “Traveller” has taken a ticket to much popularity. His album “Traveller” released in 2015 hits the $2 million mark. Talk about a career achievement!

Last month, Stapleton’s From A Room: Vol. 1 got a Gold Record Award. This most recent album, stayed at the charts for the first six months of 2017 as the most popular country album. However, his “Traveller” album is piling on its massive success and has extended to double platinum status.

Since Luke Bryan’s Crash My Party, “Traveller” is the first album to reach the same milestone to top 2 million unit sales. Nevertheless, Stapleton’s contribution to Bryan’s top-selling album by co-writing “Drink a Beer” helped render the album one of Bryan’s chart topping country hits.

The list of top-sellers in 2017 includes both of Chris Stapleton’s albums. His music has a unique style from others, which makes the traditional sound more revolutionary. This serves as the medium that traditional country music can compete with pop-oriented music.

Stapleton brings in heavy, blue riffs on tracks such as Traveller‘s “Outlaw State of Mind” and uses Southern rock sounds in his more recent “Second One to Know”. Thus, he can credit a lot of his success to his ability to crossover music styles. He may not have won over the fan base of his former duet partner Justin Timberlake, but he is receiving attention from other genres of music.

Eventhough Sam Hunt is currently topping the Hot Country Chart with his hit “Body Like A Back Road,” Chris Stapleton’s music still climbs charts in both popularity and sales.

Soon to have the same freedom as Skaggs, Chris Stapleton is following suit with his impressive run. Having been recognized by many fans throughout all genres of music, the country music industry is fortunate to have such a versatile artist.

Once again, congratulations Chris! We wish you continued success with your albums as you continue to bring pride to Country Music.
