There’s no stopping Kenny Chesney from moving forward in his music career. Regardless of which recording company he’s associated with, the singer maintains his musical dexterity. For 20 years, the singer’s career flourished with Sony Music Nashville’s BNA and Columbia Nashville records. Three months after his jump to Warner Music Nashville last January, Chesney released his first single for the new company. The song called “Get Along” is also the first track on his eighth studio album, Songs for the Saints.

Likewise, “Get Along” set the singer’s Tour Around the Sun which took place toward the end of April. The said tour commenced at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida and culminated in 18 stadiums and 21 amphitheaters throughout the country.
Additional Facts of the Song
Songwriters Shane McAnally, Ross Copperman, and Josh Osborne penned the lyrics of the song. Set to a mid-tempo tune, the song is about coming together and becoming one without referencing to each other’s backgrounds and origins. The song is an invitation for everyone to “get along” with our fellow and try to live a harmonious life with them. Further, Rolling Stone gives the following description for “Get Along,”
“Encourages altruism in a world that only gets more complicated when one strays from savoring the simple pleasures.”
Meanwhile, Chesney shared in an interview how much he’s elated with the song’s outcome,
“When I heard this song, beyond how good the rhythm felt, I was amazed [at] how simply they broke all this stuff down. Get along…find the common ground…know the basic stuff is where the joy, the love, the happiness is.”
