THE FIRST SIP…

“There have always been them Catfish Johns…”

Hmmn…

There are always them Catfish Johns among us. There have always been them Catfish Johns…

You know, them folks who get judged and misjudged by other people? Them people who get called strange or really odd names by people who think they are better than them Catfish Johns. Yep, even when them Catfish- never did any wrong to harm anyone. It is just because they speak differently, or act in a peculiar way, or look a bit outlandish. At times it is (even) simply because them Catfish- are doing a little better than most of us. Now that is called INSECURITY.

To be honest with you, IT HURTS. It would hurt so bad that there are times that it is so sickening. Some of ‘em Catfish Johns may even start to ask, “Why Lord? Never had I thought ill of anyone or meant them any harm.” Sure, they may not be the Epitome of the Perfect Christian but they aren’t all bad.

Yes…

I am actually one of ‘em Catfish Johns and that is why I feel for other Catfish Johns out there.

THE LAST DROP…

“…who are you to judge your neighbor?”

GOD IS GOOD—ALWAYS.

Hence, I  get some o’ that good ol’ moral support, encouragement and strength from the Good Book. Which brings us to this Passage from the Book of James 4:11-12:

11 Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it. 12 There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor?

JAMES 4:11-12

That shorely was enlightening, wasn’t it?

And to lighten things up a bit—as well as a li’l treat for you kind folks—allow me to present to you, Catfish John by Alison Krauss…

You have just been “… DRINKIN’ FROM A DIXIE…”

May Y’all be Safe and Well and…

“MAY THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY BLESS US ALL AND SET US FREE!”
