The Message of The Song “By And By”
“The Lord works in mysterious ways” is a very common phrase among us, especially when we can’t seem to comprehend or understand what exactly He wants us to do or what He is planning for us.
Sometimes hearing that phrase frustrates us because whether we want to openly admit it or not, we want to know everything that is going on. We fear what we don’t know what we don’t understand, and when things aren’t made clear to us we hesitate to move forward.
As Christians however, we always need to remember the verse John 20:29
“Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
We are supposed to trust God and have faith that He knows what He is doing. There is no real reason to question God’s purpose because it is always for the betterment of mankind.
It is often frustrating to be in the dark, but our faith needs to outweigh our fears. At the end of the day, we already know where we are headed, so instead of doubting sing this wonderful song instead.
