It was one of the tracks in his self-titled album. “Under Your Spell Again” entered the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart at No. 4 in 1959. In addition, the song remained on the chart for a total of 22 weeks.

There were some artists who attempted to make a version of Buck Owens song. On the same year, Buck Owens’ single was released and topped the chart. Ray Price recorded a version of this song. Not straying far from Owen’s position on the chart, Price’s version peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot Country Chart. Other artists who recorded a cover of “Under Your Spell Again” were Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter, Johnny Rivers and Barbara Fairchild. All of these artists’ cover entered the Billboard Hot Country chart but did not enter the Top 10 of the chart.

About the Song

“Under Your Spell Again” is a story of a man who he sees his ex-lover and falls in love with her over again. He is caught by her love even though he knows that it is not right anymore. He only wants to be with her and nothing else. His love for her controls everything in him.
