An Up-Close Look at the Success Track of Brady Seals 3

From his stint with Little Texas; to going solo and then forming a band, Brady Seals thrives to keep his passion for country music alive and in line with the changing demands of time. Since he is celebrating his birthday today, let’s look back at his successful career path while we send him our warm birthday greetings.

Seals’ Journey to Success

At the age of 16, Seals began his career as a touring musician. He started working with the band Little Texas. He served as the group’s keyboardist and co-lead for six years. It was his stint with them that he first gained popularity. With his desire to grow further as a musician, he pursued a solo career in 1996. Together with the legendary Rodney Crowell, he co-produced his debut album as a solo artist, The Truth. His self-titled CD followed in 1998 with guest appearances by several country music legends. Among them were Vince Gill, Ricky Skaggs, Timothy B. Schmidt (The Eagles), Bela Fleck and Max Carl (.38 Special). In the following years, Seals explored the pop/rock genre which led him to produce Thompson Street. It’s a collaboration with pop innovator Andy Sturmer of Jellyfish.

In 2002, he formed his own band Hot Apple Pie which comprised of outstanding musicians. This made the music industry named them as “Music City’s Super Group.” Their self-titled debut released in 2005 which featured country music icon, Willie Nelson. Such milestone made them the highest selling debut country group in the Neilson Soundscan era. Moreover, the band went to play at the Grand Ole Ory, attended major festivals and opened opportunities for country giants like Keith Urban and Tim McGraw. With these plus their tight harmonies, agile playing skills, and charismatic stage antics, they earned the industry’s respect.

Current Engagements

Seals recently founded Music City Pickers LIVE!, a songwriter show. It features Ricky Skaggs, Larry Stewart (Restless Heart), Richie McDonald (Lonestar), Peter Frampton and many other country greats. Adding to his present activities is his membership to Highwaymen Legacy. Other country music hitmakers who are his co-members are Buddy Jewell, Ray Scott, and Paul Jefferson. The four teamed up to honor The Highwaymen and their monumental music.

Here’s Seals’ top-selling song from his debut album The Truth. It’s called “Another You, Another Me” and also features Wynonna Judd.
