Moreover, the song will remind us of how God created the world. Also, it’s a reminder of what God has given and provided us. And, our role in life is to give thanks for everything we have. We must treasure all of those.

The Creation of the World…

Genesis 1 tells us that God is the Creator of the universe, including humanity.

On the first day, God created light and divided the light from the darkness, calling light day and the darkness night. God created an expanse to separate the waters and called it sky on the second day. On the third day, God created the dry ground and gathered the waters, calling the dry ground land and the congregated waters seas. Also, he created undergrowth like the plants and trees.

Moreover, God created the sun, moon, and the stars to give light to the earth and to govern and dispersed the day and the night on the fourth day. These would also function as emblems to mark seasons, days, and years. On the fifth day, God created every living creature of the seas and every winged bird, blessing them to multiply and fill the waters and the sky with life. Then on the sixth day, God created the animals to fill the earth. God also created man and woman in his image to commune with him. He blessed and gave them every creature and the whole earth to rule over, care for, and cultivate.

Lastly, on the seventh day, God had finished his work of creation and so he made it holy.
