The Content of “Bless The Broken Road”
We all know this song as a love story where the song’s protagonist reflects on the failures of his past relationships and realizes that all of those were just road stops as he headed towards his actual destination.
He then feels thankful for his past and the way it went, and he also had the realization that maybe that was God’s plan all along. It may not have been the route he wanted to take but God knew better.

The Message in “Bless The Broken Road”
More than just about finding our true love, however, the song’s theme speaks more about the benevolence of God. It is a great reminder of how He knows all and only has the best intentions for us.
Though we may not always understand it, we need to remember that as we go through the many routes we take in life, God is always beside us.
Where we can only see what is in front of us God, on the other hand, can see everything else. So though we may doubt, we need to remember that He would never lead us to a path that wouldn’t benefit us.
