Dierks Bently was among the country stars who warmed up the stage during the recent CMT Music Awards night to entertain the audience with his moving performances. In a previous article, we featured the singer who surprised the audience by bringing with him on stage country legend Dwight Yoakam. The two delivered a rousing rendition of the latter’s “Fast as You.” But that isn’t all for Bentley. The popular awards ceremony provided him the best venue to debut his “Burning Man” single with his tourmates Brothers Osborne. Such performance required the “Woman Amen” singer to take a day or two off from his Mountain High Tour with Brothers Osborne. The Bentley and Brothers Osborne collaboration was among the much-expected acts on the show.
Wath their performance of “Burning Man” below and be ready to get stunned.
The “Burning Man”
Included on his latest album The Mountain, the song serves as the lead track of the said record. Bentley considers the song as his favorite among the album’s singles. He shared how easily he found a connection with the lyrics during an interview.
“The idea that we all are a little bit of everything … a little bit holy water and a little bit burning man … really resonated with me.”
Another impactful song for Bentley, “Burning Man” is about a man’s evolution. Bentley sang the first stanza which talks about the mixture of progress and stillness, meaning and digression that form part of how life flows. In the second verse, the Brothers Osborne joined in. Their vocals blended harmoniously with that of Bentley’s on the bridge. This fusion left Bentley highly impressed stating,
“I love Brothers Osborne both as musicians and people, and I knew they would connect to the song like I did. Performing it with them is certainly a highlight in the show for me.”
The singer has recently released the music video for the song, again featuring Brothers Osborne. Bentley hopes the fans would like it as much he did.
“This has become one of my favorite moments in our live show and I can’t wait to see the crowds reaction over the rest of the summer.”
