“The Beatles” is undoubtedly legendary. Their names, songs, journey have impacted the people all over the globe. The group has inspired the younger generation to the older ones. Undeniably, they’re one of the best bands of all time. But things were meant to happen and the band has disbanded. Paul McCartney left the group. But before his departure, they have recorded one more single entitled “Let it be.” Despite the disbandment, the song was embraced by their followers. It became one of the most successful singles of the band.

Let’s have a flashback a little more of “The Beatles” through their massive yet conventional “Let it be.” One of the standards in the music scene. It was recorded way back, but up to these days, the song still being played over and over again. Also, the song will remind us of the band and their legacy. It will recollect the good old days as well.

Paul McCartney pooled resources to the words and lyrics of “Let it be.” The song was released in March 1970 as the lead single from the album of the same name. Back then, it was the highest charting single of the band. It placed at number 6 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Moreover, “Let it be” was inspired by Paul McCartney’s dream. Back in 1968, wherein the band was experiencing a stressful situation, he dreamt of his mother. His mother was his inspiration of the lines “Mother Mary.”

It was in 1968, one of the most shaking relationships of “The Beatles.” They’re having ups and downs and doubts towards each other. There were decisions unsupported by other members. Also, the band tried to escape music for a moment to find their own selves. Little did they know, it has worsened the situation. The years’ long collaboration of Lennon and McCartney’s songwriting has almost broken down. Nevertheless, the band retained its association. It might not be a band anymore, but people who’ve known each other for a long time.

The band was formed in 1960. Mainly, the performers and members were John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. It was Lennon and McCartney who originally formed the band.

Additionally, the band was named as the best-selling music artist in the United States. As of 2017, “The Beatles” holds the record of having the most number one singles on the Billboard Hot 100.

Furthermore, “The Beatles” have received seven Grammy Awards, an Academy Award for Best Original Song Score and fifteen Ivor Novello Awards. In 1988, the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The four members were individually inducted 1994 to 2015. They were also included in Time magazine’s compilation of the 20th century’s 100 most influential people.
